Two Resurrections

This verse speaks of a single resurrection event for one individual ("he raised him up from the dead") and makes no mention or implication of a second, distinct resurrection event or stage for anyone else. The "sure mercies of David" refers to the certainty of this one resurrection, not to a separate future resurrection.
