Counter-Arguments

The strongest case that this verse does not belong in this theme.

Levitical Dietary Law

The verse describes an event where demons enter pigs, resulting in the pigs' destruction. It does not codify or even mention the clean/unclean dietary system of the Mosaic Law. While pigs are considered unclean animals in Levitical law, this verse does not establish or explain that law, nor does it discuss dietary practices. Its focus is on the expulsion of demons and the fate of the pigs.
