But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.

Counter-Arguments

The strongest case that this verse does not belong in this theme.

Israel-Specific Promises

While the verse describes a specific role and lack of inheritance for the Levites within Israel, it is more of a directive concerning their duties and status rather than a promise or prophecy.

Time-Bound Fulfillment

The verse describes a perpetual statute ("for ever throughout your generations") regarding the Levites' service and lack of inheritance, which indicates an ongoing condition rather than a prophecy with a defined duration for fulfillment. The phrase "for ever" directly contradicts the idea of a "time-bound" fulfillment.

Earthly Sanctuary System

While the verse mentions the Levites and the tabernacle, its primary focus is on the Levites' lack of inheritance, not on the operational details or purpose of the sanctuary system itself.
