Counter-Arguments

The strongest case that this verse does not belong in this theme.

Hell Terminology (Sheol/Hades/Gehenna/Lake of Fire)

This verse describes a physical act of killing men at a specific location on earth ("the pit of the shearing house") and makes no mention of any afterlife, spiritual punishment, or specific terminology related to hell. The event is a historical account of a massacre, not a theological statement about a place of judgment.

Sheol / The Grave

The verse describes a physical act of killing and the location where it occurred ("the pit of the shearing house"), but it does not mention Sheol, the grave, the dust, or any other term directly referring to the destination or state of the dead. The "pit" in this context refers to a physical location, not a metaphorical or theological concept of the afterlife.
