Counter-Arguments

The strongest case that this verse does not belong in this theme.

Literal Fulfillment

While the language is concrete, the "graves" could be interpreted metaphorically as a state of spiritual or national death, with the "opening of graves" representing a restoration from exile or despair rather than a physical resurrection.

Israel as Distinct

The "my people" and "land of Israel" could be interpreted metaphorically to represent a spiritual community and a spiritual inheritance, rather than a literal ethnic group and geographical location, thus not necessarily maintaining Israel as a distinct entity.

Prophetic Methods of Communication

The verse describes the content of a prophecy, specifically God's promise to His people, rather than detailing the method through which Ezekiel received this revelation. It states "prophesy and say unto them," indicating an instruction to deliver a message, not how the message was initially communicated to the prophet.
